This is one of those places I just had to visit once in my life. It is famous archaeological area in the desert. It can be found down the Al Siq Canyon and is packed full of, temples and tombs which have been carved into the pink sandstone cliffs. you will probably know it more for The Treasury, which was used in the popular Indiana Jones movie.
I had an amazing time walking around here and exploring all the large caves. Unfortunately the treasury was blocked off, so we were not able to go inside it, but still the view is a once in a lifetime and I never thought I would have got the chance to visit this part of the world. It is quite a walk to get to the centre from where the busses drop you off, so I highly advise decent footwear as flip flops and high heels will not do you kindly on this walk.
